Welcome back to the Post Podcast, I'm Kalin Krohe. Today we'll return to the Alliance City Council meeting from Sept 7. Council had a public hearing on authorizing staff to apply for the Community Development Block Grant to assist with the replacement of the HVAC system at the Alliance Learning Center. Alliance City Manager Seth Sorenson spoke about the grant details and history of the HVAC system. Council approved the third reading of the 2021-2022 appropriations budget and held a public hearing on property tax approval. Council approved a liquor manager application for the Eagles Club, authorized the use of $15,000 from the contingency fund to secure inventory at Carhenge Pit Stop and more.
